A Special Needs Teacher is required to cover a long term position at a school in the Midlands. The position involves working with Key Stage 2 students with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). It would be an advantage if you have experience in outdoor pursuits, arts & crafts and music as this particular school is based in a rural location and offers a varied curriculum that includes forestry, gardening and fishing classes to stimulate the pupils learning environment.
Person Specification
Candidates must be experienced in working with Special Needs students. Physical intervention training would be desirable. You will be an energetic and imaginative professional who will lead the learning of a KS2 class. Some experience of SEN would be advantageous but we place a premium on those with the flair and energy to learn quickly and to be flexible in their approach. Successful candidates will be subject to completing justteachers registration process which includes, an overseas police check, a UK enhanced CRB (UK police check) and reference checks.
